Conor graduated from Loughborough University with 1st Class Hons in Medicinal and pharmaceutical Chemistry. During his time at Loughborough Conor completed 3 research projects including; Developing methods to detect pesticide residues in food products via HPLC, Synthesising and testing novel β-Lactams via Staudinger Ketene-imine cycloadditions and his MChem project working under supervision of Dr George Weaver - Synthesising fluorinated benzothiazoles as anti-trypanosomiasis agents which will lead to publication in the future. Conor joined the University of Leeds for his PhD under the supervision of Prof Richard Bourne and Prof Steve Marsden where his research focus is in chemical synthesis and optimisation in flow, utilising machine learning algorithms and Design of Experiments methodology. In his spare time Conor is a keen powerlifter and aspiring Coach and plays the drums.
