Nick completed his PhD in the self-optimisation of automated flow reactors under the supervision of Dr. Richard Bourne, with an integrated MSc in chemical process technologies, from the University of Leeds in 2017. His thesis received the JB Cohen award for outstanding research. He is now a research fellow in automated flow chemistry, working on a project at GSK in Stevenage using self-optimisation for the generation of kinetic models, sponsored by the EPSRC impact acceleration account and GSK. Nick completed an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Leicester in 2012.
